എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞൂസിനു നിന്റെ അമ്മ.....To My Kunju from your Amma......

Kunju we are going to celeberate Thanksgiving on this thursday.....I have to make rice and curry....other dishes will prepare others.....And you know the christmas is coming....I love December other than any months.....because December brings all my childhood memories to my mind....We nver had a readymade Christmas crib, stars, tree or a Nativity set....I do remember, I bought a Nativity set when I was studying Msc that can be in 2004 or 2005 ......But still I love those days we hadnt anything...I dont know , why?.....there was something inside us, may be we can call it as the spirit.....Right after finishing our Chritmas term exam, your perammachi, kuttai and me were busy with collecting bamboo sticks, color paper for the star, the grass for the crib etc.....now i dont see the special white grass which grow only on Christmas season.....it grows on the top of the sands on the rocks.....while we come from school we used to roll over the grasses on the sides of the road....now i dont see the grass and the special white flower which grow on the trees.....you know we had to walk 7.5 km to reach school...so everyday we used to walk 15km to get educated....the road was not even good for walking....The road was not tarred..there were no good briges to cross over the streams....it was very difficult to manage if there were a torrential rain happend......The villegers used to stand on the sides of the stream to help children and woman to get reach the other side of the stream....And we had no electricity, no library, not a good road and not a good home to stay....we used to study with kerosene lamps ..i think a lot fo students were coming from a better condition than us...... But still we were in the top students list.....Me and your peramma studied in the same classes...we got good marks when passed out the secondary school..... I got a cash award of 101 rs from that area and a dictionary and a book of Mother Mary from our parish and a book of Basheer from our tution sir.....I was the top from that area and from the parish too.....I think your chachas situation also were same as we had....he was a brilliant student and he studied in a school which all the brilliant students study...he got the admission there by writing a national level exam.....and now you may be wondering why i wrote all these to you....you know you have everything which i was not able to dream at your age....i was not aware of such things even exists in the world.......so i just want to tell you, still a lot of children lives in India in the same condition....so sometimes we may deny some of your desires which can be able to fullfill by us.....You should know the value of hardwork to achieve something you desire...bye for now uhmma we love you.....
